I bought this unit when my old DVD player died. This is the first DVD burner i have ever owned and i bought this one because i wanted to copy some old VHS tapes i had. I also didnt have alot of money to invest so this particular one was within my price range. The only thing i dont like about it is when you copy tapes you cannot edit commercials. Other than that it is a great buy and works well.
