(More customer reviews)I got this unit as a gift and it was perfect for long car rides with a 7 and 3 year old. The headphones that it came with folded up nicely, but weren't durable enough for the three year old to break fairly quickly.
Recently, after about six months of owning the unit, it now only shows an all white screen, while audio on DVDs plays just fine. I've pulled it apart, reseated all the connectors and poked around, but nothing helps. It's almost as if the contrast has been set super high or something. But even when the connector was unplugged between the screen and the unit, the screen still only showed all white.
So while it was great while it lasted, it wasn't durable enough in the long run. I'm happy it didn't cost me anything.
I just can't recommend this unit very highly due to that lack of durability on the headphones, and the lack of durability of the unit. While it worked, it was great and the kids could watch movies in the car and keep quiet. Wonderful!
