(More customer reviews)My only complaint is that the GH22NP20 did not come with installation instructions. My computer has two optical drives and when I first installed the LG, neither of the new pair of drives worked. I called LG customer support at 1-800-243-0000 and a customer service rep told me that one of the two drives needed to be the slave. This was done by moving a jumper on the back of one drive to the terminals marked "slave." That fixed the problem. There was no software installation needed. As "Stilettos" wrote, the drive is quiet.
Esaitech Inc. shipped the drive promptly and it came to my front door exactly on the expected arrival date. It was double-boxed, both boxes were stuffed with bubble wrap, and the drive was sealed in its plastic bag.
