(More customer reviews)This is not the exact same name brand that originally came in the laptop. However, it works just as well if not better than the original. I've been having problems with the original for some time now - it wouldn't keep playing discs and would pop out inadvertently, particularly when playing a disc. The new drive fixed all of that! Movies and music play with no problems, and I've been able to burn discs quickly through Win Media Player.
