(More customer reviews)I bought this drive to replace an older LG that had worked well until I broke the tray by accident. Installation was easy but when I booted my computer up popped an odd icon called "Bluebirds". Come to find out, it is some horrible firmware permanently install on the drive. I took a couple of days, but I found a site with other users, one of which created a program to strip this program. It worked. What was LG thinking of? The drive works well enough but you can buy any number of great drives for the same price, without being angered by unwanted bloatware. Good going LG, annoy the customers so they won't buy your products in the future!
