(More customer reviews)Plays well if you can get it to play. The remote isn't anything like the one pictured with the player in this add. What you get is a cheap 2"x4" piece of plastic about a 1/4" thick with a bubble touch pad pasted on it. If your not careful, the touch pad falls off. The player doesn't always respond to the remote or the remote doesn't always send the signal. Either way, it doesn't always work and the player is useless without it. I couldn't get the menu up to change region codes and the tech-support person I spoke with told me, after several attempts over the phone failed, that he couldn't do anything more for me and thanks for calling and have a nice evening! Needless to say, I havn't been able to watch ANY of the region 2 dvd's I have, which was the sole reason I made this purchase in the first place. But you get what you pay for, so I suggest to anyone out there interested in purchasing a multi-region player, don't go cheap! Spend more and you'll get more and better. I would NOT recommend this model to anyone. Too much hassle and not user friendly. I've purchased another one. A better known name brand that was a lttle more exspensive but worth every penny. The Model 514 is back in it's box under the couch, unused and useless.
