(More customer reviews)This is a new optical drive for an older Gateway MX6 series laptop. It burns cd's fine, but be advised all you Gateway MX6427 owners. I don't know about other models, but this one is not entirely compatible with this drive. The DVD burner does not function. If you have an MX6 series Gateway laptop, I would think twice. It is very possible that this laptop, being older just won't support a dvd burner. If that's so, however, why do they offer one?
