(More customer reviews)It would be really nice to have a blue-ray vcr combo. This one is not a vcr, just a vhs player. I bought this from Wal-Mart website. I did not test how it does with a Blue-ray disk, but I tried its upconversion for regular DVDs and a VHS tape. I saw no evidence of any upconversion. I compared this player with my Denon receiver. The Denon upconverts everything to 1080p. The Denon produced far, far superior picture. I have now returned this combo player. Hope someday there will be a real combo player available for a reasonable price.
